Top Nigerian Journalist, Yusuf Alli, has lost his mother, Hajiya Hawau Yusuf, at 89.
Alli, editor, northern operations of The Nations newspaper, announced this in a tribute on his Facebook page.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am grateful that Allah has called my mother, Hajiya Hawau Yusuf to eternal glory @89, a few months short of 90 years. May Allah grant my irreplaceable mum Aljanna Firdaus. Amin Thuma Amin.,” he wrote.
Stating that the remains of Hajjia Yusuf have been buried, the veteran journalist who doubled as the President, Rotary Club of Abuja Maitama, added in another update that his late mother enjoyed the fruits of her labour.
“Lowering my mother in grave was emotional but I thank God the story was not opposite. We struggled together, I am consoled you enjoyed the fruits of your labour. May Allah grant Hajiya Hawau Yusuf Aljanna Firdaus,” he concluded.
